Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities are placed in mainstream classrooms with no accommodations, no support, and no chance of keeping up. They fall behind. They stop going. Many never finish school.
For the children at our center who are orphans, the situation is even more urgent. Without education, without someone in their corner, the odds shift against them — and as they reach their teens, the risk of exploitation, trafficking, and becoming victims themselves grows every year they go unsupported.
