Programs That Change Everything
From daily tutoring and speech therapy in Bârlad to sensory Joy Kits for foster children in Arizona — every program is designed to help children with disabilities build a future worth believing in.
The Only Place They Can Go
In Bârlad, Romania, there are no special education classes. Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities are placed in mainstream classrooms with zero support. They fall behind, stop going, and many never finish school.
For orphans, the consequences are even more severe — without education and daily support, the risk of exploitation grows as they age out of the system.
Delia's Center is the only program of its kind in the region. Every program below exists because these children have nowhere else to turn.
Core Daily Programs
These programs run every day at the center — providing the education, therapy, and care that the public system cannot offer these children.
Tutoring & Educational Support
One-on-one and small group tutoring provides the special education these children can't get anywhere else. Pre-teens and teens also receive counseling and life skills workshops — like learning to shop independently — building the confidence and practical abilities they need for their future.
Speech Therapy
Personalized sessions with our licensed speech therapist help children improve speech clarity, language development, and social interaction. For children who have never had access to therapy, this is often the first time anyone has worked to help them communicate and express themselves confidently.
Health, Nutrition & Daily Meals
Every child receives a warm, nutritious meal each day — sometimes their only one. The program also includes exercise, balanced snacks, and self-care education, promoting holistic wellness and long-term physical and mental well-being.
Autism Support
Tailored resources and guidance for children on the autism spectrum in a nurturing environment. Specialized activities, sensory-friendly spaces, and social skill development help enhance independence, connection, and quality of life.
Beyond the Classroom
Joy, creativity, and community are just as essential as academics. These programs give children the chance to discover their talents, build friendships, and experience the world beyond the center walls.
🎨 Arts Program
Music and visual arts inspire creativity in a supportive setting. Hands-on projects and performances encourage self-expression, confidence, and collaboration.
🎭 Drama Program
Children perform in plays twice a year, developing confidence, teamwork, and creative expression through rehearsals and performances — delighting audiences with their talents.
🌿 Field Trips & Summer Camp
Educational outings and fun-filled camps help children explore new places, build friendships, and broaden their horizons — creating lasting memories beyond the center walls.
Orphanage Support &
Community Outreach
Our Orphanage Support program aids a local orphanage for special needs children by providing essential improvements — building pavilions, installing water taps, and addressing critical needs to create a safer, more nurturing environment for the most vulnerable children.
Through Community Outreach, we uplift underserved families in rural villages with essentials like food, clean water through well support, and other aid — empowering communities and fostering hope for sustainable change.

Joy Kit Outreach
In Arizona, we deliver sensory-friendly Joy Kits to children in foster care with special needs. Each kit is a bag of comfort, courage, and creative joy — designed to help children regulate, explore, and feel cared for.
Every $35 gift sends two kits — one to a child in Arizona, and one to a child at Delia's Center in Romania. One gift, two continents.
Every Program Starts with
Someone Who Shows Up
Tutoring, therapy, meals, art, Joy Kits — none of it happens without people who care. Become a Joy Partner for $35/month and keep every program running, or send a one-time Joy Kit to light up two faces on two continents.
