September is coming — and for 32 children at Delia's Center, the start of a new school year should be exciting. But for kids living in foster care and deep poverty in rural Romania, it's a source of anxiety. They don't have the supplies other children take for granted.
These children, ages 5 to 16, attend Delia's Center because there is no special education where they live. The majority are in foster placement. They show up every day ready to learn — but many arrive without a backpack, without notebooks, without the basic tools they need to succeed.

Two Girls. Too Few Clothes.
Mădălina (10) and Denisa (7) needed clothing for school, summer, and the seasons ahead. Donors provided fresh clothes, uniforms, and the dignity every child deserves.

15 volunteers from around the world joined The Delia Foundation and Global Impact Homes to bring running water, a shower, solar panels, a toilet, and an indoor kitchen to two elderly people in rural Romania — all in just 3 days.

Stefania is a special needs student whose glasses broke, leaving her unable to see the blackboard. Her dad had abandoned the family, and there was no money for new frames. Thanks to generous donors, Stefania now has brand new glasses — and she's back to learning with a smile.
