Help Stefania See Clearly Again

$450 Goal • Restoring Her Vision for School

Stefania receives homework help & tutoring at Delia’s Center for Special Needs Kids

Stefania is a special needs student in rural Romania who depends on her glasses to learn.

When her glasses broke, Stefania’s world shattered for a second time. She had always been a “daddy’s girl.” When her dad abandoned the family, leaving Stefania, her older sister and her mom behind, Stefania was heartbroken. Mom took on two jobs to pay the bills and Stefania's older sister began looking after her. School is hard because of Stefania's learning disabilities, so her mom brought her to Delia's Center for educational assistance and emotional support. Quiet and sweet, Stefania began to "bloom," but her glasses accidentally broke in the fall. She had already outgrown the frames and there was no money for new ones.

Without the glasses, Stefania cannot see the blackboard in school and has fallen behind. For a child already facing developmental challenges, broken glasses are overwhelming.

The doctor told her mom that Stefania's eyesight is deteriorating. But there is no money and no social assistance. We are raising $450 USD to purchase new frames and lenses. Please help Stefania to see clearly.
