Kevin is a boy my age in rural, Vaslui County, Romania. Kevin has autism and doesn’t really speak. My family has been giving him a healthy hot lunch at Delia’s Center for Special Needs Kids. My aunt Lauren is the co-founder of Delia’s Center and The Delia Foundation which provides meals, education, and therapies to special needs kids like Kevin in the poorest part of the country. Aunt Lauren, me, dad, and mom are very worried about Kevin. He doesn’t get to go to school because there are no special education teachers where he lives. It’s very hard because his father, Andrei, is a single dad. They don’t have family to help. Kevin’s dad has trouble working full-time because he takes care of Kevin. He is really proud, and didn’t want to ask for help but it’s really cold where they live. Kevin is his #1 so he asked Aunt Lauren for help. I hope our friends can help me to help Kevin and his dad.
