150 Chairs.
One Place to Belong.
In rural Romania, children with disabilities are often expected to attend school without support—or are quietly left behind. At Delia’s Center, every child has a chair: a place to sit, learn, eat, and feel safe.
The Reality for Children with Disabilities in Rural Romania
In rural communities, special education services are extremely limited. Children with disabilities are expected to integrate into classrooms without individualized support, accommodations, or assistance. When they struggle, many are sent home—not because they lack potential, but because the system cannot meet their needs.
For families, there are few alternatives. For children, this often means isolation and lost opportunities.
Why Delia’s Center Exists
Delia’s Center for Special Needs Kids exists so these children are not forgotten.
We bridge the gap between what the system provides and what children need—from early childhood intervention to school tutoring. At Delia’s Center, children receive patience, understanding, and care, and are encouraged to learn at their own pace in a safe, structured environment.
What a Chair Represents
At Delia’s Center, every child has a chair.
Not just a place to sit—but a place to belong.
Each chair represents:
• A safe, predictable daily routine
• Educational support and tutoring
• Daily meals and snacks
• Therapeutic services such as speech therapy, art, and yoga
• Emotional support from familiar, trusted adults
For many of the children we serve, this is the only consistent place they can count on each day.
Why Monthly Giving Matters
Children don’t need help just once.
Monthly support provides stability—so services don’t stop, routines aren’t disrupted, and children can continue to grow without fear of interruption.
Your monthly gift tells a child:
“You can count on this place.”
A Personal Note
For many of the children who walk through our doors, Delia’s Center is the only place where they feel safe, capable, and truly seen.
When you take a chair, you become part of that promise.
Thank you for standing with children who deserve dignity, care, and a place to belong.
